About Lake Garda Travel Guide
This site is an independent Lake Garda travel guide in northern Italy and a comparison of the Lake Garda tours you can book: boat trips around Sirmione, lake cruises, wine tastings in the hills, a cooking class and day trips to and from the lake. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours. The full line-up sits in the Lake Garda tours list.
Why It Exists
Lake Garda is 52 km long and its shores sit in three regions, so the towns, ferries and buses do not share one timetable or one ticket office. Most visitors pick a base before they know which shore suits their trip.
This guide puts the practical layer in one place: which town suits which kind of stay, how the ferries connect them, what the main sights charge and which bookable tours are worth the money.
Where the Figures Come From
Ferry fares, museum tickets, cable car prices and opening hours come from the official operators and public bodies that set them: the state ferry company, the Ministry of Culture sites, the comuni and the regional tourism boards. Tour prices, ratings, review counts and inclusions come from the listing on the platform that sells each tour. Each section names its sources at the end.
How the Site Is Paid For
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you book a tour or a hotel through them, the platform pays this site a commission at no extra cost to you. The commission never decides which tour is listed or how it is described.
